Dunamu said on Sept. 14 that it had launched the SNU x UPbit Startup Studio with Seoul National University’s College of Business Administration, a support space for young startups, and held a Welcome Day event for participating companies on Sept. 10.

Seven early-stage startups were selected for the program through a screening process: Breadcrumb, Steelcut, Iruri Labs, Beli Labs, Theta One Korea, PION and LeadAxis.

Dunamu will provide the resident companies with business infrastructure free of charge for up to two years, including dedicated offices, shared space and work equipment. It also plans to operate a Value UP program to support their growth, offering expert mentoring in legal, finance, accounting, security and marketing, as well as CEO roundtables.

The event was attended by Dunamu Chairman Song Chi-hyung and other company executives, faculty from Seoul National University’s business school, and executives and employees of the resident companies. Song heard presentations on the startups’ businesses and shared his experience and know-how from the startup process.

"In the early stages of a startup, companies face uncertainty that is difficult to predict," Song said. "But the process itself — enduring both big and small successes and failures and turning them into results — is the greatest asset an early-stage startup can have. We will do our utmost to serve as a reliable pacemaker so that startups leading innovation in South Korea can achieve sustainable growth."
