Robert Kiyosaki, the bestselling author of “Rich Dad Poor Dad,” warned that the “biggest crash in history” has begun in global financial markets.
Bitcoin.com reported on September 20 that Kiyosaki wrote on X, formerly Twitter, that “the biggest crash in history has begun,” adding that a selloff that started in Europe and Japan in 2026 is spreading worldwide.
He cited the artificial intelligence investment boom, the war in Iran, excessive debt and the retirement of the baby boomer generation as causes. Investors over 40 with retirement assets such as 401(k)s and individual retirement accounts, or IRAs, could face difficulties, he wrote.
Kiyosaki said he is holding Bitcoin, gold and silver instead of cash to prepare for financial-market instability. He added that he has spent years investing in private businesses, income-producing real estate and oil production facilities while holding gold, silver and Bitcoin instead of cash.
