Vitalik Buterin, co-founder of Ethereum, said he intends to continue strengthening the network’s privacy protections.
Odaily reported on September 20 that Buterin made the remarks on X, formerly Twitter, in response to a question from Paradigm Chief Technology Officer Georgios Konstantopoulos about the potential for advances in privacy technology.
“Privacy only dies when we give up on it,” Buterin wrote.
He added: “I’m not giving up on privacy. If anything, I’m going to strengthen it further.”
Buterin had previously updated Ethereum’s future roadmap in August, identifying protection against quantum-computing attacks, privacy safeguards and native rollups as key priorities.
