Forecast Trend Report by Period

Meta’s personal artificial intelligence agent Muse got off to a strong start after its launch, reviving expectations for stronger semiconductor demand and lifting global AI and chip stocks.
Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix each rose about 3.5% in early trading on September 21, Bloomberg reported. Taiwan’s Taiex Index also climbed 1.8% to a record high.
Semiconductor shares were also strong in the US overnight. The Philadelphia Semiconductor Index rose 4.3%, posting its biggest one-day gain since August 4. Meta shares surged 11%.
The rally was driven by renewed expectations for semiconductor demand from expanding AI services after Muse, which Meta launched earlier this month, climbed to No. 1 among free apps on Apple’s App Store.
Global AI stocks had recently come under pressure after executives at major AI companies called for slowing the pace of development, hurting investor sentiment. But Muse’s early success revived optimism about AI demand.
Falling oil prices, amid expectations for diplomatic progress surrounding the war in Iran, also supported appetite for risk assets.
