Bitget Warns of Phishing Accounts Impersonating Official Channels, Urges Users to Verify Links

Bitget warned users to be on guard against phishing accounts impersonating its official channels and suspicious links.

In a post on its official X account on Sept. 25, Bitget urged users to verify the authenticity of any account, message or link related to the exchange before interacting with it. The company also told users to watch for accounts posing as its official channels and for suspicious links.

Bitget said users can directly verify the authenticity of accounts and websites through its official verification page. After selecting the platform they want to check, such as X, Telegram or a website, users can enter the account handle or website URL to confirm whether it is an official Bitget channel.

The company emphasized that users should verify all Bitget-related accounts, messages and links before using them.

Earlier on Sept. 25, Bitget suffered a hack amounting to $351.6 million. Deposit and withdrawal services are currently suspended.
