Robinhood Unveils 'Robinhood Agent' for AI-Driven Stock, Crypto Trading

Robinhood Markets Inc., the U.S. online brokerage, is introducing a service that allows artificial intelligence to trade stocks and digital assets on behalf of investors.

CoinDesk reported on September 30 that Robinhood unveiled "Robinhood Agent" at its HOOD Summit in Houston, along with new offerings including AI trading agents, digital-asset perpetual futures and weekend trading for U.S. stocks.

Robinhood Agent allows users to connect an AI model to their brokerage accounts and delegate everything from market analysis to trade execution. Users can choose AI models from OpenAI or Anthropic. The AI can analyze stocks, options and digital assets, then place orders based on conditions set by the user.

Robinhood also plans to offer digital-asset perpetual futures to U.S. users. Bitcoin and Ether will carry leverage of up to 10 times, while other digital assets will initially offer leverage of up to three times.

The company is also extending U.S. stock trading to weekends. It plans to allow some U.S. stocks and exchange-traded funds to trade on Saturdays and Sundays, effectively creating a seven-day-a-week trading environment.

"One of the company's top priorities is becoming the best platform for active traders," said Abhishek Fatehpuria, Robinhood's vice president of product management.
