Global cryptocurrency mining pool ViaBTC has begun supporting Bitcoin and blockchain education for university students in Argentina.
Cointelegraph reported on October 2 that ViaBTC held a Bitcoin education event on September 29 at the Catholic University of Cordoba in Argentina.
The event was part of Bitcoin en las Universidades, a program run by the nonprofit ONG Bitcoin Argentina. The program provides free Bitcoin education to university communities across Argentina.
The curriculum covered the basic principles of Bitcoin and blockchain, as well as mining, cryptocurrency exchanges, decentralized finance, digital-asset security and fraud prevention. Drawing on its experience operating mining and blockchain infrastructure, ViaBTC is also providing instruction on network protocols, nodes and computing power.
According to ONG Bitcoin Argentina, more than 1,300 students, faculty and staff have participated in the program so far at 20 universities across seven Argentine provinces.
