Three men broke into a couple’s home in the UK, assaulted and threatened them, and fled with a substantial amount of cryptocurrency and several luxury watches.
West Midlands Police said on October 2 that the men forced their way into a house in Smith’s Wood, Birmingham, at about 5:20 p.m. on December 13 last year.
The assailants seriously injured the husband and threatened his pregnant wife with a bladed weapon, forcing her to transfer a substantial amount of cryptocurrency.
They then stole the crypto assets and several high-end watches before fleeing in a vehicle believed to be a black BMW X3. Police are investigating the case as a possible premeditated targeted attack.
