Metaverse platform Sandbox (SAND) is soaring.
According to CoinMarketCap, SAND was trading at $0.06925 as of 9:50 p.m. on Oct. 2, up 61.15% from a day earlier. It climbed to around $0.07 at one point during the session.
The sharp gain appears to have been driven by South Korean cryptocurrency exchanges lifting their trading caution designation on Sandbox on Oct. 2. Upbit, Bithumb and Coinone announced at around 4 p.m. that they would remove the designation that day.
Sandbox had previously been designated as a trading caution item by domestic exchanges after an abnormal token minting issue occurred on its cross-chain bridge in August, prompting a suspension of deposits and withdrawals.
