Robinhood, the U.S. online investing platform, said 24-hour trading in tokenized stocks would bring sweeping change to financial markets.
Johann Kerbrat, general manager of Robinhood Crypto and senior vice president of global business, made the remarks at XRP Seoul 2026 in Seoul on October 3, Edaily reported. He said Robinhood is awaiting follow-up guidance from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, adding that "24-hour tokenized stock trading will be a remarkable change."
Kerbrat said 70% of Robinhood's trading volume takes place on weekends and at night. That, he said, means people want to trade late into the evening.
He also emphasized that blockchain could help improve delays in clearing and settlement in traditional financial markets. If all assets are tokenized, they could trade more quickly, he said. Once trust builds in 24-hour tokenized stock trading, he added, there will be no going back.
