NEAR Intents, a cross-chain trading protocol built on NEAR Protocol, has recovered all of the approximately $3.8 million stolen in a hack.
Cointelegraph reported on October 3 that Alex Shevchenko, head of NEAR Intents, said the full $3.8 million taken in the attack had been returned.
NEAR Intents had previously discovered a vulnerability in the interaction between Omni's deposit and withdrawal infrastructure and the protocol's smart contracts, prompting it to temporarily suspend the service. Its internal investigation found that about $3.8 million in user funds had been stolen.
After identifying the attacker, NEAR Intents demanded the return of the funds within 48 hours in line with its procedures. The protocol later decided to stop further investigation after the attacker returned all of the stolen funds.
