BNY is discussing a broad digital-asset infrastructure partnership with Payward, the parent company of cryptocurrency exchange Kraken, CoinDesk reported.
CoinDesk reported on Oct. 2, citing multiple sources, that BNY and Payward are in talks to cooperate on digital-asset products, custody, asset management, trading, payments and financial market infrastructure.
The partnership would use Payward's B2B platform, Payward Services. It is expected to be similar to the infrastructure agreement Payward recently signed with Nasdaq.
The talks are ongoing, and it remains unclear whether the companies will reach a final agreement.
BNY and Payward did not respond to requests for comment.
