XRP Token Transfers Drop Below Post-Breakout Baseline, Signaling Possible Loss of Momentum
Summary
- XRP's daily token transfer volume has fallen below its post-breakout baseline, indicating cooling market activity, according to the analysis.
- The report said current XRP transfer volume and price are both below the previous peak of $3.65, raising the possibility that upward momentum is slowing.
- The analysis said more confirmation is needed to determine whether the recent decline in transfer volume is a normal fluctuation within a structurally higher range or a sign of cooling activity after the rally.
Forecast Trend Report by Period

An analysis suggests market activity in XRP is cooling as daily token transfers have fallen below the baseline established after the breakout that fueled the previous rally.
In an analysis published on Oct. 6, CryptoQuant contributor R3N wrote that XRP's daily token transfer volume currently stands at 596.2 million tokens, a sharp drop from the period when the token's price rose to $3.65 in late 2025. XRP is now trading at $1.50, less than half of that peak.
R3N focused on changes in transfer volume during XRP's price advance since late 2024. As XRP broke out of its long-running $0.20-to-$0.60 trading range and moved higher, the smoothed daily transfer average climbed clearly above the low levels that prevailed through most of the 2018-2024 period.
Transfer activity expanded in tandem with XRP's price breakout. By contrast, the current daily transfer volume of 596.2 million has slipped below the post-breakout baseline formed at that time. R3N said it has also returned to levels closer to the early phase of the rally than to those seen at the price peak.
Still, R3N wrote that it would be inappropriate to compare the current market directly with past extreme surges in transfer volume. Two spikes seen in mid-2014 and in late 2017 through 2018 occurred alongside severe price volatility and were better understood as outliers tied to one-off technical or network events rather than organic demand growth.
Instead, R3N said the smoothed trend in transfer volume since 2024 deserves closer attention. XRP transfer activity has broken out of the prolonged stagnation seen from 2018 to 2023 and moved into a higher range alongside the price recovery. Although transfer volume has recently declined, it remains elevated relative to XRP's longer-term historical levels.
R3N said further confirmation is needed to determine whether the current decline in transfer volume signals a broader cooling in market activity after the rally or merely reflects normal fluctuations within a structurally higher range.
