Standard Chartered Plans Digital-Asset Custody Service for Institutions in Singapore
Forecast Trend Report by Period

Standard Chartered plans to launch a digital-asset custody service for institutional investors in Singapore.
Cointelegraph reported on Oct. 8 that the bank said in a statement the same day it plans to offer the service to institutional investors and eligible corporate clients in Singapore.
The service will cover selected virtual assets, stablecoins and tokenized real-world assets, or RWAs. The launch remains subject to meeting regulatory requirements, and the bank did not disclose the specific assets it will support.
Singapore is a global financial and innovation hub and plays an important role in the bank’s global strategy, Standard Chartered said.
Standard Chartered has recently been expanding its global digital-asset business. In May, it announced plans to acquire the custody business of digital-asset custodian Zodia Custody. Last month, it launched spot Bitcoin and Ether trading services for institutional clients in the United Arab Emirates.
