Chainlink is partnering with Japanese blockchain and artificial intelligence company Pacific Meta to build asset-tokenization infrastructure for Japan’s financial market.
Pacific Meta said on October 16 on its official website that it had entered into a strategic partnership with Chainlink Labs. The collaboration is focused on expanding the adoption of tokenized assets, on-chain identity verification and regulatory compliance infrastructure among Japanese financial institutions.
As part of the partnership, Pacific Meta will adopt Chainlink’s Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol, or CCIP, as its preferred solution.
The company also added Chainlink’s Automated Compliance Engine, or ACE, to its Partner Solutions service, which supports the adoption of external technologies. That will help Japanese financial institutions and companies automate compliance procedures in the issuance and management of tokenized assets.
Andy Hung, head of alliances at Pacific Meta, said Japanese financial institutions are moving quickly toward tokenized finance, but trusted infrastructure and compliance systems are essential. The partnership will enable Pacific Meta to bring Chainlink’s technology, already used by global financial institutions, to the Japanese market in a form tailored to local needs, he added.
