MARA Holdings, the world’s largest publicly traded Bitcoin miner, has recently moved a large amount of Bitcoin to crypto exchanges, prompting speculation that it could sell part of its holdings.

On Oct. 19, Lookonchain said wallets linked to MARA Holdings deposited a total of 1,000 BTC into Binance and Gate over the past five days.

The Bitcoin is worth an estimated $82.8 million. Transfers by miners of their holdings to exchanges are generally viewed as a signal they may be preparing to sell, drawing close market attention.

Still, it has not been confirmed whether the transfers led to actual sales. So far, only the Bitcoin transfer records from wallets tied to MARA Holdings have been identified, and the specific purpose of the transactions or whether any sale took place has not been disclosed.

MARA Holdings has previously sold some of its Bitcoin holdings to secure operating funds and manage debt. More recently, it has expanded into artificial intelligence and high-performance computing, or HPC, while managing assets to help fund related investments.
