Global blockchain analytics firm Chainalysis said it suffered a cyberattack that exposed some customer information.

Wu Blockchain reported on October 31 that Chainalysis said an external hacker used an attack method involving an artificial intelligence agent to gain unauthorized access to the company's internal systems and tools.

The breach exposed some customer data, including user IDs, names, email addresses and roles within their organizations.

Chainalysis said it found no signs that the attacker accessed sensitive information such as investigation records, transaction lookup results, passwords, multi-factor authentication data or user session tokens.

The company stressed that the incident was unrelated to the recent Binance hack. It is investigating the scope of the damage while addressing security vulnerabilities.
