Bithumb Unveils YouTube Series 'Virtual Asset Boot Camp' With VTuber Nunungji

Bithumb said on November 2 that it has unveiled a new YouTube series, "Virtual Asset Boot Camp," in collaboration with investment-focused VTuber Nunungji.

The program follows Nunungji, who repeatedly failed in investing, as the character learns proper investment principles in an entertainment format. Nunungji is a VTuber whose content draws on experience investing in cryptocurrencies and stocks, and has about 46,000 subscribers.

The first video shows Nunungji visiting the Bithumb Lounge in Seoul's Gangnam district and using its key services firsthand. The Bithumb Lounge is a space where customers can receive one-on-one guidance on everything from opening an account to learning how to use the exchange. Nunungji took part in a new-member sign-up and a subscriber event while carrying out missions to become a Bithumb ambassador.

The video also featured an interview on investor protection. Jang Jin-young, head of Bithumb's Investor Protection Team, explained measures the company uses to prevent user losses, including advance notices about trading risks and phone verification procedures for customers.

According to Bithumb, the video has topped 160,000 views and 400 comments since its release. The company already operates a range of YouTube programs, including "bToknomics," which covers major issues in the virtual-asset market, and "Bithumb Road," which focuses on the experiences of retail investors.

Following that content, Bithumb will also introduce "Survival Bithumb 100: Nunungji Edition," a new program showcasing its artificial intelligence service. The company plans to expand its video content so users can more easily access information needed for virtual-asset investing.

"'Virtual Asset Boot Camp' was designed to present relatable stories of investment failures in a lighthearted way while also conveying the importance of sound investing habits," a Bithumb official said. Buoyed by the strong response from viewers, the company is also launching "Survival Bithumb 100: Nunungji Edition," a new program promoting Bithumb's AI service, and asked for continued interest and support.

Separately, Bithumb said it became the first company in the virtual-asset industry to receive YouTube's official verified channel badge. The verification can help users distinguish official accounts and may be used to prevent impersonation accounts and phishing-related damage.
