"Artificial Intelligence (AI) will evolve into a kind of partner rather than just an auxiliary tool for humans. Virtual Protocol aims to contribute to accelerating this future through AI agents."

Jansen Teng, co-founder of Virtual Protocol, stated in an interview with Bloomingbit on the 12th, "AI is being integrated into society more rapidly," expressing this vision.

Virtual Protocol, a Web3 AI project that has experienced explosive growth this year. We explored what future they envision with AI agents through this interview.

Virtual Protocol is a project themed around 'AI Agents,' a hot topic in the Web3 space this year. Within the Virtual Protocol platform, users can create AI agents themselves and engage in Web3 activities utilizing these AI agents.

Founder Jansen revealed that he started the project because he was disappointed that NPCs in games only showed fixed reactions to all users, wondering, "What if AI could show different reactions to every player's input?"

Proving its popularity, Virtual Protocol has grown rapidly. The VIRTUAL token, which was only $0.05 at the time of Token Generation Event (TGE), has soared 3000% in about 10 months, currently recording $1.87. Its market capitalization is $1.87 billion, ranking 67th among all virtual assets.

The sharp rise in Virtual Protocol's token value indicates that Web3 users are showing interest in AI agents. Virtual Protocol tokens are used to create AI agents and purchase agent tokens, which are the unique shares of AI agents. Additionally, Virtual Protocol tokens are used to pay for the usage fees of AI agents.

Founder Jansen emphasized the importance of AI agents and users. He explained, "Virtual Protocol is like a nation created by AI agents. Just as the currency value of a nation rises when good companies emerge within it, strong AI agents emerging within Virtual Protocol have allowed it to grow."

AI Agent Profits Distributed to Developers and Shareholders... "Sustainable AI Advancement"

So what activities can AI agents perform? According to the functions disclosed so far, AI agents can independently broadcast, manage virtual asset wallets, post on X (Twitter), and open Telegram chat rooms.

These AI agents are born with about 1 billion unique agent tokens at creation. If each AI agent receives good evaluations through its activities, the value of the agent increases, and users holding the unique tokens of that AI agent can earn profits and continue to enhance the agent.

For example, if an agent records a trading volume of $100,000 and earns a fee profit of $1,000, the shareholders holding the agent tokens share this profit. They then go through a consensus process to receive the profit as dividends or use it to train the AI agent.

A representative example is the AI agent 'Luna' created by Virtual Protocol itself. Luna interacted with viewers through YouTube streaming, receiving support and reactions with agent tokens. The broadcast became a hot topic, and Luna's price, which was only $0.01 before the broadcast, soared about 10 times to surpass $0.1 after the broadcast. As of the 12th, LUNA is recording a 30% increase from the previous day at $0.07.

Founder Jansen stated, "Like Iron Man's Jarvis, users can design AI agents to understand and act on their requests. Through behavior modules, AI agents can be trained and engage in autonomous activities," adding, "We designed a structure where AI agents generate profits, which are shared with developers and shareholders, to motivate developers. Better-performing AI agents can earn more profits, which can accelerate AI development."

Expansion Goals in Gaming, Entertainment, and Finance... "Increasing AI Agent Utilization"

Virtual Protocol's short-term goal is to increase the number of AI agent entities by encouraging user participation. Founder Jansen said, "The short-term goal is to allow many people to experience AI agents," adding, "We are preparing many support projects to secure more than 100 high-quality AI agents."

As part of this user support, Virtual Protocol announced the 'Sandbox' service at midnight on this day. Through this, users can have an independent execution environment and create AI agents while manipulating various variables.

Additionally, Founder Jansen mentioned plans to increase AI agent utilization by expanding into various fields. He said, "We aim to expand AI agents into various fields such as gaming, entertainment, and finance," adding, "We are currently having many discussions with applications that want to introduce AI agents, and we will soon announce our partners."

He continued, "In the long term, Virtual Protocol aims to lead the way in integrating AI agents into society," adding, "Personally, I believe a society that introduces AI agents could arrive within a year, and Virtual Protocol will be a suitable solution for them."
