Mantle Partners with Succinct to Transition to ZK-Rollup
Summary
- Mantle announced its partnership with Succinct to transition to ZK-rollup.
- The implementation of ZK-rollup is expected to achieve payment finality approximately 168 times faster.
- This is expected to become the foundation for financial services support along with gas cost reduction.

Ethereum (ETH) Layer 2 solution Mantle (MNT) announced on the 20th its industry-first partnership with Succinct to transition its network from Optimistic rollup to zero-knowledge (ZK) rollup. Succinct is a Web3 infrastructure company providing solutions for ZK-rollups.
This collaboration was initiated to achieve Mantle Network's goal of building a liquidity chain for institutional-grade payments and value transfer liquidity.
Specifically, Succinct's ZK-rollup solution SP1 will be implemented into the Mantle network, which is expected to provide benefits including ▲fast payment finality, ▲Ethereum Virtual Machine compatibility, and ▲cost efficiency. Notably, in terms of payment finality, Mantle will be able to achieve approximately 168 times faster bridging performance compared to its current system.
ZK-rollups use cryptographic proofs to verify the validity of batch-processed off-chain transactions, offering advantages such as faster transaction finality and lower gas costs compared to other rollup methods.
Joshua Chung, Chief Product Officer (CPO) of Mantle, stated, "This partnership between Mantle and Succinct is the first step towards Mantle's support for financial services," adding "Through zero-knowledge proof technology, we expect to enable higher levels of transactions."
