Senator Elizabeth Warren, known as a prominent opponent of cryptocurrency, appears poised to pose questions related to cryptocurrency at the confirmation hearing of Scott Besant, nominated as the Treasury Secretary for Donald Trump's second administration.

On the 14th (local time), Eleanor Terrett, a Fox Business reporter, stated on her X (formerly Twitter) that "Senator Warren has sent a letter containing cryptocurrency-related questions to Scott Besant, the Treasury Secretary nominee, for his confirmation hearing. The letter is approximately 31 pages long."

The questionnaire reportedly includes questions about whether the Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) should have jurisdiction over stablecoins and whether the U.S. should have tools to sever ties with fintech and cryptocurrency companies that pose risks.
