Summary

  • Stuart Alderoty, Ripple CLO, mentioned the possibility that the next SEC Chairman, Paul Atkins, could withdraw the cryptocurrency industry's civil lawsuits.
  • Alderoty CLO noted that such a withdrawal might take some time.
  • It was reported that the SEC has deleted records related to the Ripple civil lawsuit.

Stuart Alderoty, Ripple's Chief Legal Officer (CLO), stated on the 29th that the next Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Chairman, Paul Atkins, could fully withdraw the SEC's civil lawsuits against the cryptocurrency industry.

On this day, Alderoty CLO made this statement while participating in Ripple Community Day.

However, he anticipated that it might take some time for Paul Atkins, the next SEC Chairman, to withdraw these lawsuits. Alderoty CLO mentioned, "It might take some time to resolve the issue because the SEC is still a bureaucratic organization," but added, "I believe the new SEC understands that enforcement-centric regulation is flawed."

Earlier that day, according to the SEC website, the SEC had deleted all records related to the Ripple civil lawsuit.
