According to CoinDesk, a media outlet specializing in virtual assets (cryptocurrency), Metaplanet announced through an official press release that it plans to purchase 10,000 Bitcoins by the end of 2025 and 21,000 Bitcoins by the end of 2026.
Metaplanet stated, "This strategy is to become the world's largest Bitcoin-holding company."
Meanwhile, as of today, Metaplanet is reported to hold assets exceeding $180 million. At the current market price, 21,000 Bitcoins amount to approximately $2.16 billion.
