Multichain Wallet Phantom Begins Support for Sui Blockchain

Layer 1 blockchain Sui (SUI) announced on the 3rd that its token SUI is now officially supported by the multichain crypto asset wallet Phantom. Phantom Wallet is a crypto asset wallet with a monthly active user count (MAU) reaching 15 million.

With this, Sui becomes the third Layer 1 blockchain supported by Phantom. Phantom users will now be able to transfer and manage SUI within the wallet. Additionally, tokens such as BLUE and SEND based on the Sui blockchain will also be available. It is also possible to swap SUI with other crypto assets and access decentralized applications (dApps) based on the Sui blockchain.

Sui became a top 10 blockchain platform in terms of Total Value Locked (TVL) by early 2024. As of January 4th this year, the TVL surpassed 2 billion dollars.

Christian Thompson, Managing Director of the Sui Foundation, stated, "The fact that Sui is the first Move-based chain supported by Phantom Wallet proves the achievements of the Sui community over the past year," adding, "This shows that the era of Sui has arrived and that our ecosystem is ready to onboard the next billion crypto users."
