It has been revealed that a proposal has been submitted to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to allow staking for the Ethereum (ETH) ETF.
On the 13th (local time), James Seyffart, a Bloomberg analyst, reported on his X (formerly Twitter) that "BZX, a securities exchange under the Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE), has proposed an amendment to Rule 14.11 to the SEC to allow staking for 21Shares' Ethereum ETF."
He continued, "This is the first case of requesting staking permission from the SEC, and the final deadline for this is October 30. We will learn more details in the coming weeks."
