[Today's Global Trending Cryptocurrencies] Bitcoin, Polkadot, Uniswap & Others
Summary
- Bitcoin experienced a decline, falling below $90,000 for the first time in three months.
- Polkadot showed an upward trend despite other altcoins' decline, with trading volume surging significantly.
- Uniswap gained attention as investors felt relief following the SEC's announcement to terminate their investigation.

According to the Token Mindshare Top Gainers (an index quantifying the influence of specific tokens in the virtual asset market) from Kaito, an AI-based Web3 search platform, the top 5 most trending cryptocurrency-related keywords as of the 26th are Bitcoin (BTC), Polkadot (DOT), Uniswap (UNI), PAIN, and BABYLON.
First, Bitcoin, the leading cryptocurrency, caused investor concerns due to a significant decline overnight. As of 1:35 PM today, Bitcoin is trading at $89,017, down 3.17% from the previous day. Bitcoin plunged to $86,136 around 12:30 AM today but has since partially recovered. This is the first time Bitcoin's price has fallen below $90,000 since mid-November last year, about three months ago.
Polkadot took second place. While other altcoins plummeted during trading hours, Polkadot's lone upward trend caught investors' attention. Trading volume also surged significantly. At the same time, Polkadot is trading at $4.72, up 8.68% from the previous day.
Uniswap, in third place, brought relief to investors as the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) announced the termination of its investigation into Uniswap. Previously, in April, the SEC had sent a Wells Notice (a notification requesting preliminary explanation from potential litigation targets) to Uniswap. Hayden Adams, Uniswap's founder, pointed out that "the SEC conducted an unreasonable investigation of Uniswap without any basis, causing Uniswap to waste enormous resources."
PAIN took fourth place. As the cryptocurrency market entered a downturn, many investors mentioned the word 'PAIN' on social media, seemingly leading to the namesake cryptocurrency's appearance in the rankings.
Lastly, Babylon, a Bitcoin staking protocol, attracted investor attention with airdrop-related news. Babylon announced through their blog, "We will support airdrop registration for 18 days starting from the 25th. Users can create a BABY address, link it to their Bitcoin wallet, and receive the airdrop. The airdrop is scheduled to be distributed with the launch of Babylon Genesis."
Additionally, Redstone (RED), REKT, Tether (USDT), ETHOS Network (ETHOSNETWORK), and Believe in Something (BIS) also drew investor attention today.
