According to cryptocurrency news outlet Cointelegraph on the 27th, the Massachusetts District Attorney's Office announced in a statement the previous day that "Godbit founder Alexei Andryunin was arrested by Portuguese authorities on October 8 and was extradited to the United States on October 25. He will remain in custody until further notice."

Godbit and founder Andryunin are accused of falling for the FBI's trap token (a bait token used to catch criminals involved in market manipulation) in May last year.

Meanwhile, if convicted, founder Andryunin could face up to 20 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
