The North Korean Lazarus Group, identified as the perpetrator of the Bybit hacking incident, has reportedly laundered over 50% of the stolen Ethereum (ETH) within a week.

On the 28th (local time), Spot On Chain reported through X (formerly Twitter) that "the Bybit hacker has laundered a total of 266,309 ETH (approximately $614 million) over the past 5.5 days, primarily converting it to Bitcoin (BTC) through ThorChain. This amounts to an average of 48,420 ETH per day, representing 53.3% of the total stolen funds of 499,000 ETH."

They added, "The remaining stolen assets amount to 233,086 ETH, and at the current rate of laundering, the remaining funds could be laundered within the next 5 days."
