Solana-based expansion solution Sonic announced on the 28th that it has launched its mainnet 'Mobius'.
Sonic is a Solana-based Solana Virtual Machine (SVM) expansion solution that allows Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) developers to develop and run applications using EVM development language (Solidity) on the Solana network through Sonic's Hypergrid (Solana expansion framework).
With the launch of Mobius, Sonic has achieved high compatibility and scalability with Solana. This enables developers in the Sonic ecosystem to easily migrate existing applications to the Solana network.
Additionally, it provides features such as △paying network fees in SOL (Solana) △supporting interoperability API with Solana △supporting Solana core ecosystem protocols (Metaplex, Pyth, Hyperlane, etc.). In the future, they aim to onboard the Web3 TikTok app 'Layer' to the Sonic mainnet with a goal of attracting 1 billion app users.
Chris Zhu, Sonic's co-founder and CEO, said, "Numerous games and dApps have already been deployed on the testnet, resulting in attracting over 8 million users to the testnet," adding, "The launch of Mobius is an important milestone that opens a new era of SVM-based Web3 applications, and innovative projects will be born on Mobius in the future."
