On the 2nd (local time), Bitwise CEO Hunter Horsley stated through X (Twitter), "Like many people, I also expected that only Bitcoin would be included as a strategic reserve asset," adding that "Bitcoin is the most suitable for strategic reserve assets, not for the U.S. portfolio."
He further added, "However, I am grateful for the administration's approach. I hope they consider more ideas."
Previously, Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong expressed a similar opinion. Armstrong had stated, "Including only Bitcoin as a strategic asset is the best choice. Bitcoin has clear grounds for comparison with gold."
