"I Should Try Too"...Anonymous Individual Miner Successfully Mines Bitcoin Worth About 400 Million Won Alone
Summary
- An individual miner revealed that he mined Bitcoin worth approximately 370 million won alone.
- He reportedly used equipment with much lower performance than what companies typically use.
- The probability of an individual miner finding a block is extremely low, making this success a very rare case.

It has been revealed that an anonymous Bitcoin (BTC) miner solved a block and mined a significant amount of Bitcoin.
On the 12th (local time), cryptocurrency specialized media Cointelegraph reported that an individual miner solved the 887,212th block on a personal mining site on the 10th using low-cost personal equipment. As a reward for finding the block, he received 3.125 Bitcoins (approximately 370 million won) including fees.
Bitcoin mining is so difficult that it is mostly done by companies. The equipment used by mining companies has a computational speed of 230,000 GH/s. In contrast, the equipment he used was a 480 GH/s Bitfury machine.
The Twitter channel Dr-ck, which operates the mining site, explained, "The probability of an individual miner finding a block is less than one in a million," adding, "On average, it would take about 3,500 years for an individual to find a block."
