On the 14th (local time), Paul Grewal, Chief Legal Officer (CLO) of Coinbase, stated, "The state of Vermont has withdrawn its lawsuit related to Coinbase's staking service. This is a decision that clearly establishes that staking services are not securities."
He emphasized that "other states should also refer to Vermont's decision." He added, "Now is the perfect time for Congress to develop comprehensive legislation that reflects innovative technologies like digital assets and staking, as bipartisan consensus is being reached in both the House and Senate."
