The state of South Carolina in the United States has officially withdrawn its staking-related lawsuit against Coinbase.

On the 28th (local time), Paul Grewal, Chief Legal Officer (CLO) of Coinbase, announced on X that "South Carolina has become the second state after Vermont to withdraw its staking service-related lawsuit."

As a result of this decision, Coinbase users in the South Carolina region are expected to be able to use the staking service again soon. Coinbase has evaluated this outcome as progress for all U.S. consumers and expressed hope that similar changes will follow in other states that still restrict staking.
