McDonald's has officially rejected a proposal from its shareholder to purchase Bitcoin (BTC).

According to documents submitted to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), cited by The Block on the 12th (local time), McDonald's made it clear that purchasing Bitcoin does not align with the company's financial policy and that they will not discuss it.

Previously, the National Center for Public Policy Research, a think tank and McDonald's shareholder, urged McDonald's to purchase Bitcoin through a letter. They argued that as a shareholder, the company needs to secure Bitcoin.
