The virtual asset (cryptocurrency) community is on the hunt for the culprits behind the MANTRA (OM) plunge. Recently, it was confirmed that five addresses, including a subsidiary of Nomura Holdings, deposited a large amount of MANTRA tokens to an exchange, sparking controversy within the community.

On the 13th (local time), on-chain analyst The Data Nerd reported on X (formerly Twitter) that "five anonymous addresses deposited 24.4 million MANTRA tokens (worth approximately $143 million) to OKX over three days before the MANTRA plunge."

One of these addresses was confirmed to be Laser Digital, a subsidiary of the major Japanese financial group Nomura Holdings.

Another on-chain analyst, Lookonchain, also reported that "since the 7th, 43.65 million MANTRA tokens have been deposited to the exchange," adding that "this accounts for 4.5% of the circulating supply."

Meanwhile, as of 10:18 AM on the 14th (KST), MANTRA is trading at $0.8334 on CoinMarketCap, a sharp decline of 86.73% from the previous day.
