Summary

  • The sharp decline of MANTRA raised suspicions of a rug pull among investors, but the team denied any involvement.
  • Interest in Tether has increased as a safe investment means due to recent market volatility.
  • AIXBT gained attention over the weekend due to increased attempts to obtain information through AI agents.

According to the top gainers of Token Mindshare (a metric quantifying the influence of specific tokens in the virtual asset market) on the AI-based Web3 search platform Kaito, the top 5 keywords related to virtual assets that people are most interested in as of the 14th are MANTRA (OM), Tether (USDT), AIXBT (AIXBT), CoinMarketCap, and CoinGecko.

First, MANTRA attracted investors' attention as a collapse occurred with its value plummeting on this day. Earlier, around 3 a.m., MANTRA suddenly dropped more than 90%, falling from the previous $6 to $0.4, creating a panic among investors.

Some speculated about a rug pull by the MANTRA team. In response, the MANTRA team explained through their official X (formerly Twitter) that "today's decline is unrelated to the project team" and "it was due to indiscriminate liquidation on centralized exchanges."

Tether, a stablecoin, took second place. It is speculated that interest in stablecoins as a safe hedge has increased due to heightened market volatility following President Donald Trump's tariff remarks.

AIXBT took third place. It is speculated that during the weekend, when other media were inactive, virtual asset investors asked AI agents for market information, leading to a surge in mentions on X.

CoinMarketCap and CoinGecko, virtual asset market information sites, ranked fourth and fifth, respectively. It is interpreted that investors made many visits to these two sites providing market information to confirm the MANTRA collapse.

Additionally, investors are also showing interest in Bitcoin (BTC), Luna (LUNA), Pump.Fun (PUMP), and Ethereum (ETH).
