According to the virtual asset specialized media Cointelegraph on the 16th (local time), Brazilian fintech company Meliuz announced in a statement on the 14th that it plans to expand its Bitcoin holdings and establish Bitcoin as a strategic asset in the company's financial statements. Meliuz plans to officially propose this Bitcoin accumulation strategy at the shareholders' meeting on May 6.

If the shareholders accept Meliuz's proposal, Meliuz will be able to incorporate Bitcoin as a strategic asset. Meliuz explained, "We will gradually increase our Bitcoin holdings for shareholders through operating funds or strategic initiatives."

Meanwhile, after announcing this plan, Meliuz's stock price climbed. The previous day, Meliuz closed at 3.85 reais on the Brazilian stock exchange, up 27.91% from the previous day.
