There are concerns about the potential negative impact of the official departure of four commissioners from the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) by the end of this year.

According to Cointelegraph, a cryptocurrency-focused media outlet, on the 28th (Korean time), Christy Goldsmith Romero stated, "If four commissioners leave the CFTC by the end of this year, only one chairman will lead," adding, "In this case, diverse opinions may not be presented, making it more difficult to establish regulations."

She further added, "If there is only one person deciding what the rules are, there is no discussion about what the right thing to do is," and "This is not a good situation."

Meanwhile, Goldsmith Romero is set to step down from her position as a CFTC commissioner on May 31. Additionally, other high-ranking CFTC officials, including Chairman Kristin Johnson, Summer Mersinger, and Caroline Pham, are all set to resign.
