According to The Block on the 11th (local time), the US Senate passed a cloture motion on the stablecoin regulation bill The Genius by a vote of 68–30, paving the way for a final vote on Monday next week.

Commenting on this, Senator Tim Scott, Chairman of the Senate Banking Committee, said, "This result is the outcome of bipartisan cooperation and a significant advance for both innovation and security." Meanwhile, aides to US President Donald Trump expressed their support for the bill, stating that "if the bill is submitted in its current form, they will recommend that Trump sign it."
