On the 16th (local time), Metaplanet Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Simon Gerovich announced on X (formerly Twitter), "We purchased 1,112 Bitcoins at an average price of $105,435 each."

With this, Metaplanet's total Bitcoin holdings have reached 10,000. Notably, due to this recent purchase, Metaplanet has overtaken Coinbase Global (9,267 Bitcoins) and is now ranked 9th among companies in terms of Bitcoin holdings.

Meanwhile, Metaplanet's annual return on Bitcoin stands at 266.1%.
