Recently, the native token HAI of web3 security firm Hacken experienced a sharp plunge during intraday trading on the 21st. Hacken CEO Dmytro Budorin stepped forward to offer an explanation.

According to The Block, a digital asset-focused media outlet, on the 23rd (Korea time), Dmytro Budorin, CEO of Hacken, stated on X (formerly Twitter), "All responsibility for the plunge of the HAI token lies with me."

Previously, on the 21st, there was an incident in which the key to an account with miner-level authority was leaked. As a result, more than double the existing supply of HAI tokens was issued in an instant, and the token's value plummeted by 99%.

Regarding this, CEO Dmytro Budorin explained, "Five years ago, we didn't establish a multi-sig bridge infrastructure," and added, "Although we recognized the risk, the bridge restructuring was delayed for various reasons." He continued, "Since the distributor wallet was not compromised, the Hacken team was able to regain control over the leaked account," and stated, "We will move forward with compensation for future HAI token holders."
