As of 9:01 a.m. on the 23rd, the KOSPI is trading at 2,988.63, down 33.21 points (1.1%) from the previous day.
Foreign investors are dragging down the index by selling ₩61.9 billion worth of shares in the main board market. Institutions are also selling ₩13.7 billion worth. Only individuals are making a net purchase of ₩81.0 billion.
On the 21st (local time), the United States used B-2 bombers to directly attack three of Iran’s nuclear facilities, resulting in Iran’s parliament deciding to blockade the Strait of Hormuz as the military conflict in the Middle East intensifies, leading to deteriorating investor sentiment.
