According to Fox News on the 1st (KST), four North Korean hackers, including Kim Kwang Jin, are accused of embezzling virtual assets (cryptocurrency) worth a total of $900,000 from companies in Georgia and Serbia, and supporting North Korea’s defense budget with the funds.

The four, including Mr. Kim, used fake identities to get hired as remote IT workers and committed these crimes. According to federal prosecutors, they transferred the companies’ virtual assets to external addresses and later laundered them using the Tornado Cash virtual asset mixing platform.
