53 Companies Obtain Licenses in 6 Months Since Implementation of MiCA Regulation, Excluding Tether and Binance

It has been reported that a total of 53 companies have successfully obtained licenses in the six months since the European Union (EU) implemented the stringent crypto-asset regulation MiCA (Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation).
On the 8th (Korean time), Patrick Hansen, EU Strategy Director at Circle, disclosed via X (formerly Twitter) the list of 53 crypto-asset service providers licensed under MiCA regulation.
A total of 14 companies obtained the Electronic Money Token (EMT) license. Circle, Crypto.com, and Schuman Financial were among those that acquired the EMT license.
Additionally, 39 companies received the Crypto-Asset Service Provider (CASP) license, including players from traditional finance (TradFi), fintech, and crypto-asset sectors. Notable examples include BBVA, eToro, Coinbase, and Kraken.
Meanwhile, Tether (USDT) and Binance, both leaders in their respective sectors, still have not managed to secure MiCA licenses.
