Brad Garlinghouse, the CEO of Ripple, predicted that the stablecoin market would grow tenfold in the next few years.
According to Cointelegraph on the 10th (local time), Garlinghouse stated in a CNBC 'Squawk Box' interview the previous day, "Currently, the market capitalization of the stablecoin industry is about $250 billion, but many believe it will grow to $1–2 trillion within a few years."
He added, "Ripple can demonstrate competitiveness in the stablecoin market based on its institutional foundation and regulatory compliance. The future growth of the stablecoin market will be positive for the company."
Meanwhile, Ripple launched the enterprise stablecoin RLUSD at the end of last year, with RLUSD's market capitalization reportedly surpassing $500 million.
