According to Bitcoin.com on the 31st (local time), 50 individual wallets belonging to the dormant whale simultaneously became active, transferring a total of 500 BTC. The holdings were worth about $1.3 million in 2017, but are now valued at approximately $58 million.
The media outlet added, "This transfer appears to be accompanied by a significant level of risk regarding privacy."
