The US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has postponed its review of the proposal by Invesco and Galaxy to include a staking feature in their Ethereum (ETH) spot exchange-traded fund (ETF).
According to Cointelegraph on the 31st (local time), the SEC has delayed its decision on whether to allow the inclusion of a staking feature in the Invesco Galaxy Ethereum spot ETF to September 25.
In a public notice the previous day, the SEC explained that it needs "an in-depth review," as the reason for the delay. Meanwhile, the proposal was first submitted by the Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) BZX Exchange on June 9, and was later amended on June 23.
