According to O'Daily on the 2nd (local time), Trump criticized Powell's high interest rate policy in an interview with Newsmax, stating, "I would not hesitate to dismiss Fed Chairman Powell." However, he also hinted at caution by saying, "Dismissing Powell could cause market turmoil."
Previously, last month, Trump also said in an interview with Real America's Voice, "Would love if Powell resigns," adding, "Many people say that if I dismiss Powell, the markets will be thrown into chaos."
