Amid the complete ban of Coinbase advertisements by television broadcasters in the United Kingdom, there have been claims that such restrictions may actually increase interest in cryptocurrencies.

On the 4th (KST), Brian Armstrong, CEO of Coinbase, stated through X (formerly Twitter), "Our ads, which have been banned by UK TV broadcasters, are drawing significant attention."

CEO Armstrong emphasized, "The message about updating the system and improving society displayed in the Coinbase ad is not a political statement about the United Kingdom," and explained, "It is intended to illustrate how cryptocurrencies can improve the traditional financial system."

He continued, "There are still people in the UK who regard cryptocurrencies as a type of gambling product," and pointed out, "This completely overlooks the potential of cryptocurrencies." Furthermore, he remarked, "Such censorship and actions will only help spread the message."
