Mike Novogratz, CEO of Galaxy Digital, expressed optimism, saying the crypto market has "entered 'Solana season'." He explained that market momentum and regulatory signals are simultaneously aligning in Solana's favor.
In a CNBC interview on the 12th (local time), Novogratz mentioned a US$1.65 billion fundraising by Forward Industries. The funding was led by Galaxy Digital, Jump Crypto, and Multicoin Capital, and aims to build the world's largest Solana reserve strategy. He said, "Altcoin-based treasury firms are injecting new energy and capital into the market."
He also emphasized changes in the regulatory environment. Paul Atkins, a commissioner at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), recently said, "We will modernize securities rules to enable capital markets to move on-chain." Novogratz called this "a radical departure from past policy" and interpreted it as a signal of accelerating institutional adoption.
He cited Solana as a blockchain specialized for financial markets, saying its transactions-per-second processing speed and high scalability make it suitable for reshaping financial infrastructure. Novogratz said, "Solana and Ethereum are in a healthy competitive relationship to rebuild the global financial system," and predicted, "a multi-chain ecosystem where multiple blockchains are connected through bridges will mature."
"Now, beyond talk, real capital flows are entering the market," he added, "the plumbing of on-chain finance is being laid in earnest." Matt Hogan, CIO of Bitwise, also said, "Solana season is opening," and predicted, "ETF approvals, institutional inflows, and corporate treasury purchases will create a flow similar to the Bitcoin and Ethereum rallies."
